EcoVadis, operator of an internationally recognized independent sustainability and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) assessment platform, again awarded AMAG's sustainability performance with the highest rating of Platinum in 2025, placing AMAG in the top one percent - the "Top 1 %" - of the companies assessed in the "Precious Metals and Nonferrous Metals" industry category.
AMAG Austria Metall AG is, for the period 2025/2026, once again listed in the Vönix, the sustainability benchmark for the Austrian stock market of the Vienna Stock Exchange. It includes those Austrian companies that are frontrunners in terms of social and ecological performance.
The basis of Vönix is the measurement of corporate sustainability performance.
AMAG has been continually listed in the Vönix since the 2014/2015 rating.
ESG-Award Austria's Leading Companies (ALC)
AMAG has been honoured with the ESG Award as part of Austria’s Leading Companies (ALC). The award, presented by the Austrian daily newspaper Die Presse, KSV1870 and PwC Austria, is based on a fact-based analysis of 22 ESG indicators from the past three years and is an objective benchmark for sustainable corporate management.
In 2024, AMAG received a very good ESG risk ranking from the rating provider Sustainalytics. Sustainalytics places AMAG in first place within the aluminium sub-industry out of a total of 41 aluminium companies rated here. In the "Diversified Metals" category AMAG Austria Metall AG achieves second place among 230 listed companies.The assessment is made in relation to factors that are identified as significant ESG issues of an industry, such as environmental performance, resource conservation, human rights compliance and supply chain management.
Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award (ASRA)
Each year, the Austrian Chamber of Tax Consultants and Auditors (KSW), in collaboration with the Institute of Austrian Certified Public Accountants (iwp), honours companies for the best Austrian sustainability reports of the previous financial year. AMAG Austria Metall AG was honoured for its non-financial statement 2022 with the “Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award” (ASRA) in bronze.
SDG Award in the ‘Company’ category
AMAG Austria Metall AG has been honoured with the Austrian Sustainability Award ‘Austrian SDG Award’ from the Senate of Economy in 2023 and 2024. This recognition emphasises AMAG's commitment to sustainable development and outstanding efforts to implement the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Out of more than 300 submissions, AMAG's holistic approach to sustainability under the motto ‘Reducing footprints and creating added value’ was chosen as the winner in the large company category for the second time in a row.
Effective Sustainability Communicator Award 2023
AMAG was again presented with the "Effective Sustainability Communicator Award 2023" at the annual conference of the Cercle Investor Relations Austria (abbreviated CIRA). Among other things, the annual reports and capital market presentations were used to assess the performance of ATX companies in the field of sustainability reporting. The company was able to convince with its holistic and transparent sustainability reporting and achieved second place among all participating ATX companies.
INEO-Award 2022 - 2025
In 2022, due to its excellent work with apprentices, AMAG, at the Ranshofen site, received the "INEO Award" from the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce in the category "Large companies with more than 250 employees". In addition, the site is a holder of the INEO quality seal for the next three years.
Corporate health management
AMAG in Ranshofen has the seal of approval for workplace health promotion (WHP), a national award in the area of employee health. The seal confirms the importance of health protection in a company - AMAG has held the seal since 2009. In addition to occupational safety, the focus is also on exercise, nutrition and psycho-social health care.
