| Project description | The world’s first “forest theater” is a timeless, site-specific, and futuristic artistic landmark in South Shanghai. The front and rear façades of the entire Future Art Center are adorned with columns of varying heights. These resemble the indispensable strings of a harp and bring the entire theatre to life. The “strings” consist of brushed, anodized aluminium from AMAG AP1 clad FineBrush. When the sun shines directly on them, they reflect a bronze-hued light, causing the entire arts centre to glow while also providing precise shading. The result is a building that unifies art, material, and light into an architectural composition. |
