AMAG once again recognised for outstanding sustainability reporting

  •  AMAG received the "Effective Sustainability Communicator Award 2022" for the second time
  •  AMAG achieves top scores in integrative understanding of sustainability in the ATX Prime Market and ranks second overall
  •  Ceremonial presentation of the award during the annual conference of the Cercle Investor Relations Austria (CIRA) on 12 October 2022 in Vienna.

 

AMAG Austria Metall AG received the "Effective Sustainability Communicator Award" for the second time for its holistic and transparent sustainability reporting. This award was presented for the first time in 2021 due to the increasing importance of sustainability aspects in financial market communications, and was already awarded to AMAG last year.

All 39 companies of the Austrian ATX Prime Standard were analysed. AMAG was able to convince with top scores in its integrative understanding of sustainability and landed in second place overall. Christoph Gabriel, Head of Investor Relations, accepted the award on behalf of AMAG at the annual conference of the Cercle Investor Relations Austria (CIRA for short) on 12 October 2022 in Vienna.

We are therefore particularly pleased that we were able to convince the jury once again this year with our open and transparent financial reporting."

The focus of this year's analysis was primarily on the quality of sustainability reporting. Particular attention was paid to the integrative understanding on the topic of sustainability. The ongoing financial reporting, investor presentations and internet presence in the area of investor relations served as a basis.

The assessment was carried out by the professorship of Accounting and Auditing at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, headed by Prof. Dr. Henning Zülch, and the Hamburg-based consulting firm Kirchhoff Consult.

It summarises the significant information for AMAG and its stakeholders on the aspects of environmental issues, employee matters, social issues, compliance regarding human rights, and combating corruption and bribery. The department for management systems, with its sections for occupational safety, quality management, energy, environmental and risk management, continuous improvement process and sustainability, is being coordinated by the sustainability management.
